Loud Explosion In West Goshen; No Connection To Pipeline
Breaking: A loud boom was heard in West Goshen Wednesday afternoon.

WEST GOSHEN, PA — A loud boom was heard in West Goshen Wednesday afternoon that was apparently "PECO-related," according to township officials.
Preliminary reports from officials indicate that the boom has no connection to the Mariner East pipeline.
The incident occurred on Boot Road near Route 202.

"Public safety officials have investigated and corroborated with citizen eye-witness accounts to determine it did not come from the pipeline and that there is no threat to public safety," the Chester County Department of Emergency Services said in a statement issued at around 4:30 p.m.
Power outages were reported in the area at the same time, and indicated an "equipment problem," according to PECO outage maps.
