The number of total inmates in quarantine has remained somewhat steady over the past week and a half, with a total of 198 currently isolated. None are showing symptoms as of Wednesday, Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh said.

In addition, three more correctional officers have tested positive this week, officials said Wednesday, bringing the total number of staff infected up to six.

The facility's inmate population continues to steadily decline, as the county has managed to reduce the total number of prisoners from 1,342 on March 12 to 959 on Wednesday, marking a 28 percent decrease.

The average number of daily commits to the facility is down to about six, compared to the typical 28 per day prior to the outbreak.
