Montco Partnership Aims To Bring Latinos More COVID Tests
The partnership will create two new pop-up testing sites for Latino residents in Montgomery County next week.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County has announced a new partnership with community organizations to help Latino residents get more access to coronavirus testing.
The partnership involves the statewide nonprofit group Latino Connection, as well as Montgomery County's ACLAMO Family Centers.

On Monday, Sept. 21 ACLAMO Pottstown will host testing. The site is located on 515 Walnut Street and will be open from from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
And on Tuesday, Sept. 22, testing will be held at the Norristown Senior Adult Activities Center at 536 George Street.

Testing for both centers is walk-up, no car is required. Pre-registration is not required, either.
In addition to the new testing sites, residents can continue to be tested at the county's six community testing sites in Norristown, Pottstown, Lansdale, Willow Grove, Green Lane, and Ardmore.
There are also 11 CVS locations in the county which offer testing, along with a Rite Aide and one other pharmacy.
Officials said Wednesday that each site continues to have a capacity of 50 tests per day, or 300 total daily across the county. Most days, this capacity is not being filled.

The county's percent positivity rate on all coronavirus tests sits at 3.18. Over the past two weeks, there have been 598 total cases, a slight increase over the 573 reported the two weeks prior to that.
