Investigators said they discovered a staggering 1,758 unauthorized purchases on an old company credit card.

HATFIELD, PA — A woman has been arrested after authorities said she stole more than $600,000 from her longtime employer in Montgomery County.
Carol Snyder, 58, of Green Lane, was an employee of Hardy Machine in Hatfield for 20 years, the District Attorney's Office said.
William Hardy, the owner of the company, notified police when the issuer of their company credit card called to say it was overdue. Hardy said he thought the card had been inactive for years.

Snyder made credit card purchases for wedding vendors for two of her daughters, as well as using the card to buy things at various grocery stores, retail stores, an auto repair shop, gas stations, and more, police said.
She also wrote unauthorized checks for insurance and utility companies, among other payments, according to the DA. A total of 24 checks included Hardy's forged signature.
The total loss for Hardy Machine was $617,147.
Snyder's bail was set at $200,o00, which she was unable to post. She was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 5.
