Montco's Val Arkoosh To Visit White House

The county commissioner is headed to Washington D.C. to speak in support of recent legislation signed into law by President Joe Biden.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh will be at the White House Thursday morning for an event highlighting the local impacts of recent bipartisan legislation signed into law by President Joe Biden.

The half-day forum, entitled "Communities in Action: Building a Better Pennsylvania," will bring together numerous officials and community leaders from the region in Washington D.C.

"During her visit, Chair Arkoosh will highlight how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act, and American Rescue Plan Act will bring direct investment to Montgomery County residents," a spokesperson for Montgomery County said in a statement.

Arkoosh, who ran a campaign for U.S. Senate — ultimately bowing out before Lt. Gov. John Fetterman won the May primary — rose to national prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the local area was among the hardest hit in the early days.
