Montgomery Co. Reentry Fair Aims To Help Newly Released Inmates

The event will help newly released inmates obtain ID, expungements, employment, and other social services.

NORRISTOWN, PA — An upcoming event in Montgomery County aims to help recently released inmates integrate back into society.

The Reentry Day resource fair will be held on Friday, June 28 at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in Norristown.

The program, organized by the Montgomery County Bar Association, will offer information on obtaining identification, criminal expungements, employment opportunities, and much more.

Montgomery County Commissioner Valerie Arkoosh will be the featured speaker.

In addition, local social service agencies and non-profits will be on hand offering their various services.

The event, which is free of charge, will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Intermediate Unit is lcoated on 2 West Lafayette Street in Norristown.
