Norristown Area Fire Companies, EMS Get $100K In Grants
Great news for local firefighters and first responders.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Great news for local firefighters and first responders: significant state funding has been approved for local organizations.
A total of eight Norristown area fire companies and EMS companies will receive $101,078 in funding from the state, State Rep. Matt Bradford's office announced this week.
“Fire and rescue services are the backbone of any successful community, and I am grateful for the heroic work of our firefighters and emergency personnel,” Bradford said in a statement. “I thank the Office of the State Fire Commissioner and all the agencies that assisted in securing this vital funding to help keep Montgomery County families safe.”

The funding is part of the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant program administered at the state level.
