NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown's municipal council will consider this week a proposal to create a Black Lives Matter mural downtown.

The artistic installation would be placed across from the Montgomery County Courthouse on Swede Street, adjacent to 425 Swede Street.

The matter is on the agenda of the municipal council meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, Aug. 5. The council is also slated to vote on a resolution to formally support the Black Lives Matter movement.

It's not yet clear what the specific design of the mural will be, or what the cost will be.
