Norristown Man Tried To Meet 12-Year-Old For Sex: DA
"I would like to meet you and have a good time," the man messaged an undercover officer posing as a 12-year-old girl.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown man is among 10 individuals arrested in an undercover operation targeting child sex predators, authorities in Delaware County announced Thursday.
Roberto Flores Ascenion, 37, allegedly began messaging an undercover officer with the Ridley Township Police Department who was pretending to be a 12-year-old girl.
"I would like to meet you and have a good time," he wrote to her, according to documents from the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.

The officer then told Ascenion that she was only 12, and Ascenion continued to message her, eventually saying that they were going to have sex and that he wanted her to "masturbate him," the DA's Office said.
Police set an agreed upon location to "meet" Ascenion, and he was arrested without incident upon arrival.

He has been charged with attempt to commit rape of a child and related counts.
Bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000. A preliminary hearing is set for May 13.
