Bullock was found in the morning and taken to Suburban Community Hospital, where police arrived at 7:12 a.m., the DA said.

Hayward was immediately taken into custody and was originally charged with third-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter and other charges, the DA said. Charges were altered after a thorough review of the case by the prosecution.

According to Times Herald, Hayward is a graduate of La Salle University who paid her own way through college by working jobs at Wal-Mart and Nordstrom's. Lawyers said it was a freak accident and that Hayward saw Bullock more of true father than her own father.
