Norristown Woman Stabbed Roommate To Death: DA

An argument between the two allegedly stemmed from the man "peeking in the bathroom" at the woman, witnesses told police.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A woman has been arrested after stabbing her roommate to death in Norristown overnight, police said.

The incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on Monday, May 20 outside an apartment on the 800 block of Smith Street.

Jaqueline Jackson, 35, was reportedly yelling at her roommate, 58-year-old Charles Dewalt, saying he owed her money, the criminal complaint states.

"(He) owes me money, he peeked in the bathroom at me while I was naked and I caught him," Jackson was yelling at his roommate, according to a witness statement to police. "He wanna peek at me he gotta pay me."

Jackson followed Dewalt outside and began to slash at his vehicle, the complaint states. She then lunged at Dewalt, stabbing him once in the chest, police said.

When first repsonders arrived on the scene, Dewalt was transported to Mercy Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jackson has been arrested and chaged with first degree murder. No bail is available for that charge, and she was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is set for May 31.
