NORRISTOWN, PA — One Montgomery Plaza was shut down on Wednesday due to a power outage throughout the building following an electrical fire, officials said. It will remain closed through Thursday.

The outage was first reported at the building on 425 Swede Street around 11 a.m.

All occupants were safely evacuated, and no one was injured.

The Montgomery County Commissioners meeting, which had been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at One Montgomery County Plaza, will now be held in Courtroom A at the Montgomery County Courthouse.

An electrical contractor is on site and is working to restore power to the building.

Essential services are continuing operations at alternate sites as needed.

Various county offices will be inaccessible in the interim, including the following offices: Board of Assessment Appeals, County Commissioners, Court Care, Domestic Relations, Human Resources, Planning Commission, Recorder of Deeds, Register of Wills, and Treasurer and Voter Services.

No other county buildings are impacted.
