Overnight Vehicle Thefts Continue In Norristown; Police Seek Public's Help

At least three suspects were captured on surveillance footage during a recent string of thefts in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Overnight vehicle thefts are continuing to strike across Norristown, and police are asking for the public's help in identifying a trio of suspects.

Incidents recently occurred overnight on Monday into Tuesday, sometime between 4 p.m. on October 10 and 6:30 a.m. on October 11.

The incidents took place on the 1600 block of Dekalb Street around 3:20 a.m., and then the 200 block of East Fornance Street sometime before 3:40 a.m., police said.

According to authorities, surveillance footage captured two individuals walking at 3:47 a.m. west on Fornance from Arch trying vehicle door handles at random.

They are joined by a third suspect at 3:48 a.m., who enters a vehicle on south side of Fornance.

Police recently warned about an increase in thefts from cars overnight. Residents are asked to always lock car doors and to remove all valuables.
