EAST NORRITON, PA — An East Norriton restaurant was convicted of indecent assault and other charges after incidents involving a young boy.
Abraham Maman, 29, owner of Roots Restaurant on Germantown Pike, will spend the next five and a half to 11 years behind bars, according to court documents.
According to reports in the Times Herald, Maman touched the boy in the restaurant's office multiple times, even after the boy told him to stop. He also showed the boy explicit videos and offered the boy money in exchange for sexual activities, the report states.

In one case, Maman reportedly told the boy he was "preparing" him for when he would be with a woman.
The assaults occurred over a seven month period from May to December of 2018. Maman reportedly claimed it had been a "lapse of judgement," an excuse which Judge Wendy Rothstein refuted.
