Suspect Headed To Trial For Stabbing Murder of Norristown Man

A man suspected of stabbing Christopher Thomas to death and leaving him to die in Norristown alleyway will head to trial.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A man will head to trial on murder charges for the stabbing death of a 43-year-old man in Norristown on April 19, according to court documents.

Luis Daniel Martinez Perez, 22, has been arrested and charged with first and second degree murder in the death of Christopher Thomas, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Thomas was found at about 12:17 a.m. on April 19 lying in the street on Jamison Alley in Norristown.

He was taken to Einstein Hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter, the DA said.

An autopsy confirmed he died from multiple stab wounds, according to the DA.

Martinez was arraigned on April 22, and a preliminary hearing took place June 2, documents state.

He will be charged with first degree murder.
