Amateur Astronomy Club

As seen from the Earth on July 22, the fully illuminated Moon will be directly opposite the Earth from the Sun. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Buck Moon because the male buck deer would begin to grow their new antlers at this time of year. This moon has also been known as the Full Thunder Moon and the Full Hay Moon.  All those interested everything astronomy, even the delightful folklore behind the many spectacular sights in the skies, are invited to join the Amateur Astronomy club for its monthly meetings every fourth Thursday of the month at Northland Pubic Library. This month, the club will meet on Thursday, July 25 at 7:00pm. New members are always welcome. No fees or registration are required to join.
