10 Years Later, Authorities Seek Northampton Lawyer's Killer

Eric Birnbaum was shot execution-style in the parking lot of his Northampton law firm on Feb. 11, 2009.

NORTHAMPTON, PA — Ten years ago on Monday, someone shot and killed a Northampton lawyer, execution-style, in the parking lot of his law firm.

On the anniversary, Bucks County authorities are renewing their efforts to find Eric Birnbaum's killer.

"We do not believe this killing was a random act. Someone out there has the information we need to find Mr. Birnbaum’s killer," said First Assistant District Attorney Gregg D. Shore. "The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Northampton Township Police Department remain committed to bringing justice in this case."

As part of the effort, billboards will be going up throughout the Delaware Valley in the coming days and weeks in hopes of solving the Feb. 11, 2009 shooting of the well-liked local attorney. The billboards will feature a photograph of Birnbaum and a tip-line phone number.

A reward for information in the case stands at $20,500.
