My family and I are relative newcomers to the area. Over the years we've lived in lots of places around the country and we can honestly say we have found where we want to spend the rest of our days. One of the things I love most about living here is the history. Northampton and the surrounding environs simply drip with the stuff. I grew in a part of the country that also has a great history but its history came along much later than what surrounds me today. One of the things that surprises me, however, is the fact that, despite the long history of occupation in the Northampton area, there are relatively few ghost stories. I have decided to start this blog to provide a forum for sharing your stories about the unexplainable. C'mon, in more than three centuries, there should be something that makes our hair stand up...something that makes our skin crawl...something that makes you scratch your head. I don't believe this area is as quiet as it seems "paranormally"...if that is a word. Let's talk. If you want to remain anonymous, that's okay but I want to hear the story of your experiences.
