According to a statement from the district:
- Over the course of the four-year agreement, CRESPA will receive modest increases in each year of the agreement. Additionally, in various categories the salary schedules have been redesigned and elongated, resulting in long-term savings.
- Changes in employee benefits have been made, including the elimination and addition of new plan options to migrate to more cost effective plans from the Personal Choice menu and additional employee contributions towards the more costly plans.
- Over the four years of this agreement, the total cost to the school district will be $1.3 million. We would like to recognize CRESPA’s support of the district by limiting the first-year increase to .25%, which acknowledges the district’s continued increasing employer contribution rate to the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement Fund (PSERS).
“This agreement was built over ongoing collaborative discussions with CRESPA. Formal collective bargaining began in January and culminated in early July. This agreement reflects the continued strong relationship between our school district and CRESPA,” the district statement said.
