Fire Damages Home In Northampton Township
The Northampton Township Fire Department and area crews battled the blaze in the township's Richboro section Saturday night.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Northampton Township Fire Department and neighboring fire crews helped prevent a Richboro home from suffering severe damage on Saturday night.
The fire department —with the assistance of five area fire crews —responded just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of a house on fire in the unit block of Mohawk Drive in the township’s Richboro section.
Rescue 3 (D Platoon) arrived shortly after dispatch and reported smoke showing. The crew, with assistance from Engine 83 established a water supply and stretched attack lines to the interior of the structure, fire officials said.

Water was on the fire within 6 minutes of the original 911 call being placed, and the fire was under control within 25 minutes, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not stated by the fire department and it was not known at this time whether the fire was under investigation.
The neighboring fire crews included Newtown Fire Rescue, Southampton Fire Company No. 1, Lingohocken Fire Company, Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad, and the Warminster Fire Department.
