Fire Damages Home In Northampton Township

Northampton Township firefighters answer back-to-back house calls Tuesday afternoon.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A home was damaged by fire in the Churchville section of Northampton Township Tuesday afternoon.

Chief 3 arrived and reported smoke showing and established command, fire officials said. Rescue 3 (C Platoon) arrived shortly after, established a water supply, and went in service with fire suppression. Quint 3 and Ladders 2 and 90 were in service with suppression and overhaul duties.

As the fire was placed under control and companies were being released, the department was dispatched for another reported house fire in the township’s Holly Knoll section.

Crews leaving the first fire and cover companies standing by at Station 3 immediately responded and found a small electrical fire that was secured.

Assisting Northampton during Tuesday's fires were the Warminster Fire Department, Newtown Fire Rescue, Southampton Fire Company No. 1, Feasterville Fire Company, Lingohocken Fire Company, and Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad.
