Hit-And-Run Resolved By Northampton Township Police

The Northampton Township Police Department said the hit-and-run happened on Bristol Road last Tuesday afternoon.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Northampton Township Police Department said the driver allegedly involved in a hit-and-run last Tuesday came into headquarters and is cooperating with police.

Police said several tips were provided to the department and thanked the public for its help.

Police reported the hit-and-run at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, on Bristol Road at the intersection of Knowles Avenue.

The striking vehicle fled westbound on Bristol Road towards Second Street Pike, police said.

That vehicle was described as a dark/maroon or red-colored, two-door lifted Jeep Wrangler with a front push bumper and a winch mounted on the front bumper.

The operator was described as a younger white man with long hair, possibly dreadlocks.

Police did not describe the vehicle that was struck or reveal whether the occupants suffered any injuries.
