Motor Vehicle Thieves Strike Again In Northampton Township

Thefts were reported this weekend in Northampton Township's Churchville section. Police are asking residents to check security footage.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Just days after issuing a warning about suspicious activity, the Northampton Township Police Department is reporting that several motor vehicle thefts took place over the weekend.

Police said the thefts took place in the overnight hours Saturday into Sunday between midnight and 6 a.m. in the township's Churchville section.

The motor vehicle thefts took place on Carol Lane in Richboro and on Boxwood Road and Green Drive, police said.

Police did not say how many vehicles were stolen not gave a description of the vehicles that were taken.

The department is requesting the community's assistance in the investigation, stating that residents with security video cameras should review the footage to see if they have any information about the crimes.

Police also urge residents to remember to lock their vehicle doors and take all valuables out overnight.

Last week, police issued an advisory after suspects were captured on camera around vehicles in Holland.

Police said the surveillance shows one suspect holding what appears to be a handgun.

Two weeks ago, police reported separate vehicle thefts in Richboro and Ivyland.

Those thefts included three vehicles (Rolls Royce, Bentley and a Lamborghini) were stolen from an Oxford Drive residence in the township's Ivyland section.
