Northampton Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges
Police say they found more than 160 images of children ranging in age from infants to young teens.

NORTHAMPTON, PA — A man from Northampton has been arrested after police say more than 160 pornographic images of children were found on his computer and other electronic devices.
Alex Charyton, 59, turned himself in to police Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The arrest comes after an investigation into the sharing of child pornography online was launched by area police earlier this year.
As a result of the investigation, police from New Britain Township executed a search warrant at Charyton's home. Officers from Northampton Township, the FBI, Upper Merion Township and Lower Makefield Township helped with the execution of the warrant.

Police say "numerous electronic devices" were seized and that over 160 pornographic images of children, ranging from infants to 13 year olds, were found.
Charyton was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage and is being held at Bucks County Prison after being unable to post 10 percent of $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing in his case is set for Saturday, according to authorities.
