Northampton Police Reports: 4-Vehicle Crash, Deer Struck

Here's a look at the Northampton Township Police Department blotter from recent days.

NORTHAMPTON, PA — Several vehicle crashes, a drug arrest and a deer strike highlight a recent police blotter report from the Northampton Township Police Department.


The incidents reported Friday by the department ran from Thursday, Oct. 4, to Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Thursday, Oct. 4

  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jacksonville Road. The driver reports he was stopped in traffic when his vehicle was rear-ended. No injuries reported, minor damage.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike near Newtown-Richboro Road. The driver reports he was northbound on 2nd Street Pike when a vehicle pulled out of a parking lot into his path of travel. No injuries reported. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

Friday, Oct. 5

  • Accident. Patrol responded to a four-vehicle accident on West Bristol Road at Hatboro Road. The driver reports he became distracted while driving and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him. Minor injuries reported, three vehicles were towed from the scene.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Buck Road at Rocksville Road. The driver reports she was traveling on Buck Road, when a vehicle pulled out of Rocksville Road and struck her vehicle. No injuries reported, one vehicle towed due to heavy damage.
  • Theft. Complainant on Silo Hill Road reports an unknown actor entered his unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway and removed wireless headphones and a charger. Value $20.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a one-vehicle accident on Middle Holland Road at St. Leonards Road. The driver reports she struck a deer that ran into the roadway. No injuries reported.

Sunday, Oct. 7

  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jacksonville Road at Pulinski Road. The driver reports a vehicle stopped suddenly in front of her and she rear-ended the vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.

Monday, Oct. 8

  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Jacksonville Road. The driver reports she was making a left turn from a parking lot when she struck a vehicle attempting to turn into the parking lot. No injuries reported, both vehicles towed.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Newtown-Richboro Road and St. Leonards Road. The driver reports he was stopped at the intersection when he was struck by a passing vehicle. No injuries reported, one vehicle was towed.
  • Drugs. Patrol conducted a traffic stop on Hopkins Court. A strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. The male driver was taken into custody.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident in the Richboro Shopping Center off of Bustleton Pike. The driver reports she was backing out of a parking space when her vehicle was struck. No injuries reported.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Holland Road. The driver reports he could not avoid striking a vehicle that turned in front of him into a driveway. One driver was transported to the hospital, both vehicles towed from the scene.
