Northampton Police Reports: Business Burglary, Deer Strikes

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — An apparent burglary attempt at some local businesses and multiple motorists striking deer highlight a recent police blotter report from the Northampton Township Police Department.
The incidents reported Friday by the department ran from Sunday, Dec. 2, to Tuesday, Dec. 11.
Sunday, Dec. 2- DUI Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on East Bristol Road at Bustelton Pike. The driver reports she was stopped in traffic when her vehicle was rear-ended. She reported that the driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene on foot. He was located and a strong odor of alcohol was emanating from his person. He was taken into custody and processed.No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Newtown-Richboro Road at East Pickering Bend. The driver reports he was stopped, attempting to make a right hand turn when his vehicle was rear ended. No injuries reported.
- Burglary Several businesses in the Mallard Creek Shopping Center off of Almshouse Road, reported finding pry marks around the door jams and loose door handles of their businesses.
- Accident Patrol responded to Jacksonville Road and Pulinski Road for a one-vehicle accident. The driver reports he struck a deer that ran into the roadway.
- Accident Patrol responded to the intersection of Second Street Pike and New Road for a two vehicle accident. The driver reports he was stopped at the traffic signal, as he proceeded to enter the intersection he was struck by a passing vehicle that ran the red light. No injuries reported.
- Drugs Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on the roadway with an expired registration, a traffic stop was conducted on Sackettsford Road at Hatboro Road. A strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. The male driver was taken into custody.
- Drugs Patrol observed a vehicle traveling at the intersection of Buck Road and Second Street Pike with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. Marijuana and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. The male driver was taken into custody and processed.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Middle Holland Road at Buck Road. The driver reports he was stopped at the traffic signal when the vehicle in front of him rolled back and struck his vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike. The driver reports he was exiting a parking lot when he was struck by a passing vehicle. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike and Bustelton Pike. The driver reports she was traveling on the roadway when a vehicle pulled out in front of her from a parking lot. Minor injuries, both vehicles were towed from the scene.
- Drugs Patrol conducted a traffic stop on New Road at Hatboro Road, due to a vehicle traveling on the roadway with an expired registration. A strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. The male driver was found in possession of marijuana, he was taken into custody.
- Accident Patrol responded to the Village Shires Shopping Center on Buck Road, for a two-vehicle accident. The driver reports she was pulling out of a parking space when she struck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to Jacksonville Road and Sienna Circle for a one-vehicle accident. The driver reports he struck a deer that walked into the roadway. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Second Street Pike and Tanyard Road. The driver reports he was entering the roadway from a parking lot when his vehicle was struck by a passing vehicle.
- Drugs Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Township Road at Upper Holland Road fail to stop at the stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. Marijuana was found in the vehicle, the female driver was taken into custody.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Lynford Road at West Georgianna Drive. The driver reports she struck a parked vehicle. No injuries reported, the parked vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Golden Gate Drive and Silo Hill Drive. The driver reports she was distracted while driving, lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked vehicle. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Township Road and Upper Holland Road. The driver reports she did not see the stop sign, turned onto Upper Holland Road and struck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Holland Road at Elm Avenue. The driver reports he was traveling on the roadway when he struck a vehicle that pulled out in front of him. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a one-vehicle accident on Saint Leonards Road at Middle Holland Road. The driver reports he lost control of his vehicle and struck a pole as he was attempting to make a right hand turn. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a one-vehicle accident on Buck Road at Thoroughbred Drive. The driver reports he was traveling on the roadway, when suddenly the front passenger side of his vehicle dropped to the ground. He was able to safely pull the vehicle off the roadway. No injuries reported, vehicle towed.
- Accident Patrol responded to Old Bristol Road and Bellwood Road for a one-vehicle accident. The driver reports he struck a deer that ran into the roadway. No injuries reported.
- Accident Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Richard Road near Louise Drive. The driver reports he tried to avoid striking debris in the roadway and struck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported, one vehicle was towed.
- Theft Complainant on West Bellwood Drive reports her mailbox was removed from the front of her residence. Value $500.
- Accident Patrol responded to a one-vehicle accident on Upper Holland Road. The driver reports she struck a deer that ran into the roadway.
