Northampton Police Reports: Drug Arrests, An Egging, More

Here's a look at the Northampton Township Police Department blotter from recent days.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A handful of drug arrests and a driver being hit by a thrown egg highlight a recent police blotter report from the Northampton Township Police Department.

The incidents reported Tuesday by the department ran from Wednesday, Aug. 29 to Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Wednesday, Aug. 29

  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Bustleton Pike at KnowlesvAvenue. The driver reports a vehicle attempting to make a left hand turn struck his vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Old Bristol Road and West Bellwood Drive. The driver reports a vehicle pulled out of Bellwood Drive in front of him causing him to strike the vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.
  • DUI. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Newtown-Richboro Road at Fir Drive with an expired registration sticker. A traffic stop was conducted, a strong odor of alcohol was detected emanating from the vehicle. A field sobriety test was administered and failed. The male driver was taken into custody and processed.
Friday, Aug. 31
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike and Bustleton Pike. The driver reports she attempted to stop for traffic when she struck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported, severe damage to both vehicles.
  • Theft. Complainant on Upland Drive reports, an unknown actor entered two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway and removed a wallet, cash and loose change.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Buck Road at Old Bristol Road. The driver reports she rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped in traffic. No injuries reported, minor damage.
Sunday, Sept. 2
  • Drugs. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Middle Holland Road at Rock Way, the driver failed to use the turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted. A strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. The male driver was found in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was taken into custody, processed and released.
  • Drugs. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Lakeside Drive at Churchville Lane with a faulty registration light. A traffic stop was conducted. Drugs were found in the vehicle in plain view. The female driver was taken into custody, processed and released.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Rocksville Road and Buck Road. The driver reports he entered the intersection and struck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.
Monday, Sept. 3
  • Criminal Mischief. Complainant reports while traveling in the area of Walnut Drive and Cedar Drive his vehicle was struck with eggs by a passing motorist.
Tuesday, Sept. 4
  • Accident. Patrol responded to Sackettsford Road near Old Jacksonville Road. The driver reports she was stopped on the side of the road, as she proceeded to enter the roadway she stuck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported, both vehicles towed from the scene.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident at Second Street Pike and Kings Lane. The driver reports he was distracted while driving and swerved into oncoming traffic. No injuries reported, both vehicles were towed from the scene.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike. The driver reports he was exiting the parking lot when he struck a passing vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.
  • Drugs. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through an active school zone. A traffic stop was conducted on East Holland Road at Buck Road. A strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. The male driver was taken into custody, processed and released.
  • Theft. Complainant on Stella Drive reports an unknown actor removed a package from his mailbox. Delivery was verified with the postal service.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

  • School Bus Violation. Patrol Officer observed a vehicle drive by a school bus that was stopped with its red lights activated. The driver was stopped and cited.
  • Accident. Patrol responded to a two-vehicle accident on Second Street Pike. The driver reports she was pulling into a parking space when she struck a parked vehicle. No injuries reported, minor damage.
  • Drugs. Patrol observed a vehicle traveling through the intersection of Second Street Pike and Bustleton Pike with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted and a strong odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle. The female driver and the male passenger were both in possession of marijuana. They were taken into custody, processed and released.
