Police Patrols Added At Northampton Twp. Schools, Houses of Worship

Northampton Township Police are taking precautions in the wake of calls for violence Friday due to the Israel-Hamas War.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Northampton Township Police Department is bolstering patrols at its schools and religious establishments after calls for violence Friday in the wake of the Israel-Hamas War.

"In light of recent events, we will have additional high-visibility patrols at all schools and houses of worship located in the township," police said.

The Centennial School District increased the police presence at its school buildings with additional patrols from the Warminster and Upper Southampton Police Departments Friday.

Bensalem also bolstered patrols at houses of worship Friday and Northampton Township is doing so at its schools and religious establishments.

According to the Israeli government, the death toll from Hamas' devastating attack over the weekend has reached 1,200 people, most of whom were unarmed civilians.
