Police Respond To Numerous Traffic Accidents In Northampton

In other reports, police assisted Upper Southampton at an accident scene on Bristol Road.

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported the following incidents and accidents between Feb. 3 and Feb. 9:

February 3

  • Disabled Vehicle - Patrol observed a disabled vehicle on Upper Holland Road. The driver reported that the vehicle shut down. Tow company was contacted, but the vehicle was able to be started using a jump box.
  • Assist Other Police Department - Patrol assisted Upper Southampton Police with traffic control for a traffic accident on West Bristol Road at Cherry Blossom Drive.

February 4

  • Lockout (Vehicle) - Patrol responded to Hampton Drive for a vehicle lockout. Once on location, contact was made with the driver. Using lockout tools, patrol was able to gain entry.

February 5

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Holland Road and Churchville Lane for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling on Churchville Lane and was stopped at Holland Road. Unit 1 went to make a left turn and made contact with unit 2 which was traveling northbound on Holland Road. Tow was not required.

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Stoneyford Road and East Village Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on Stoneyford Road and disregarded a stop sign at the intersection. As a result, unit 1 made contact with unit 2 that was traveling through the intersection from East Village Road. Tow was required.

February 7

  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Jacksonville Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was attempting to turn into a parking lot from Jacksonville Road when they struck a light pole. Tow was not required.

February 8

  • Found Dog - Complainant contacted police to report that they had found a dog in the area of Old Jordan Road. A short time later, the owner and dog were reunited.
  • Traffic Accident - Patrol responded to the area of Buck Road and East Holland Road for a traffic accident. Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Buck Road when it disregarded a red traffic signal and struck unit 2. Unit 2 was traveling on East Holland Road and had entered into the intersection. Tow was required.

February 9

  • Road Hazard - Patrol responded to Cynthia Drive for the report of a tree blocking the road. Once on location, a large tree was found on the road. The Northampton Township Public Works Department responded to the scene to clear the road.
