Newtown Township Police Arrests

Newtown Township Police Reported the following recent activity:

Friday, November 21

At approximately 9:40 p.m., police stopped a vehicle for violations in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road. As a result of the stop, Christopher Kennedy, 25, of Newtown was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending at this time.

Saturday, November 22

At approximately 11:30 p.m. police stopped a vehicle for multiple violations in the area of the 400 block of Linton Hill Road. As a result of the traffic stop Eric Eckhart, 47, of Newtown was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending the results of lab tests.
