"We consider ourselves a family hair salon," said Anne Bye, who co-owns the shop with her daughter, Leah. "We cater to men, women and children. Our hair services run the gamut from a cool summer buzz for both little and big guys to glamorous, gorgeous updos for proms and weddings."

"They come in because they’re in the neighborhood shopping and they like the individual attention. We offer quality service, reasonable prices and extended hours," she said.

In business since March 2010, each member of this savvy mother-daughter team brings just the right amount of expertise and skill needed to contribute to the shop’s success. Leah is the sought-after hair stylist; Anne manages the business end.

Long-time local residents, they decided to open the shop when they noticed the abandoned hair salon storefront in the Richboro Shopping Plaza. The timing was right. They took the plunge, completely redoing and updating the entire inside. With spanking new equipment and a positive, no-fail attitude, they opened the salon just three months later and it has been thriving ever since.

Leah explained one of the latest trends in hair design that the shop currently offers: feather extensions.

"These blend into the hair by clipping on with a tiny bead attachment. They add subtle pizzazz and just the right hint of style," she said. "A feather extension can stay attached to the hair for six to eight months. You can wash, dry, color, curl or flat iron your hair and the extension will remain in place, continuing to dazzle and add bling."

Anne added that Keratin treatments are especially popular in the summer to put an end to unruly and sun-damaged frizz. The hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo and blown dry, then flat ironed with the product which bonds to the hair. The heat activates the treatment, which results in a shiny, smooth finish that is easy to style.
