Township To Honor Returning Serviceman On Veterans Day
On Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., the Northampton Township Supervisors will welcome home resident Marine Sgt. Eddie Cotton.

Northampton Township has a special Veteran’s Day event planned.
On Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., the supervisors will welcome home township resident Marine Sgt. Eddie Cotton.
Cotton recently returned from his second deployment in Afghanistan. He will be welcomed home by the Supervisors, who will be returning his USMC flag. Cotton’s flag is the only military flag of the 81 flags left in the township’s display.

The event will take place in the township building, 55 Township Rd, Richboro.
According to Peter Palestina, who organizes the township’s service member flag recognition program, Cotton is the son of Lisa and Ed Cotton of Holland. He is married with a 16-month-old baby boy named Jack.

His last deployment in Afghanistan was from March 22, 2015 to October 15, 2015. Prior to that, he was deployed to Afghanistan Nov 30, 2011 and returned September 19, 2012.Sgt.
Cotton, who returned from his second deployment in Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago, is now at Camp Lejeune and won’t be home until the week of Nov. 8.
