A man found with heroin and hypodermic needles at a private property in Churchville is facing charges, police said.

A man found with heroin and hypodermic needles at a private property in Churchville is facing charges, police said. According to Northampton Township Police, Thomas O'Brien, 25, of Churchville was arrested following a report of a suspicious person spotted in the backyard of a private home along Hollyknoll Drive on Monday around noon.
Police located O'Brien, hiding in a wooded area in the rear of the property. He had two used bags of heroin and two hypodermic needles in his possession, police said.
While searching him at police headquarters, officers allegedly found an unused bag of alleged heroin in his possession.

O'Brien was turned over to the custody of Bucks County Sheriff's Department. Charges were filed via summons for Possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Simple trespass.
A preliminary hearing is pending.
