Megan Chenworth Receives Lacrosse Award
Megan Chenworth is the first Lehigh Valley region female lacrosse player to be recognized as Academic All American.
Megan Chenworth, who just graduated from Parkland High School, was placed on the U.S. Lacrosse National Academic All American Team for the 2012 season.

Playing in goal, she led the Trojans to a 13-5 season with berths in both Lehigh Valley Interscholastic Athletic League (LVIAC) playoffs and PIAA District XI championship game. She and her twin brother, Andrew, combined for 26 wins and 11 losses between them in their final senior seasons in the net for the boys and girls lacrosse teams.
from in June and will attend Haverford College in Haverford this fall. While at Parkland, she ranked in the top 2 percent of her class and was a member of the National Honor Society and other honors organizations.

At Haverford, Chenworth plans on majoring in biology with a concentration in neurological behavioral sciences. Her interest in these areas was piqued by experiences she had observing peer athletes with concussions.
Chenworth is the daughter of Kris and Geoff Chenworth of Schnecksville. Andrew, meanwhile, has accepted an athletic scholarship to continue his lacrosse career at Seton Hill College in Greensburg. She also has a younger brother, Steven, who will be a sophomore on the Parkland High lacrosse team next spring.
