• Patricia (Umberger) Shay (thesunontheweb.com) — Palmyra readers are noting the passing of Patricia Ann (Umberger) Shay, 92, whose arrangements are being handled by Rothermel Finkenbinder Funeral Home on West Pine Street in Palmyra. A longtime Mt. Gretna developer and beloved mother and grandmother, she leaves family in Palmyra and Hershey, and requested a private graveside service in Lebanon, with memorial gifts suggested to Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church.
   

• With 'the boss' in the back and a rookie in the cage, Annville-Cleona field hockey leads Section 3 (centredaily.com) — A Lancaster-Lebanon League field hockey showdown at In the Net in Palmyra saw Annville-Cleona top high-scoring Lancaster Country Day 3–1 to stay atop Section 3. With sophomore center back Alayna Dalton anchoring the defense and rookie goalie Calleigh Terrill making 14 saves, the Dutchmen's unconventional last line is proving a winning formula just down the road from Palmyra residents.
