Get Out: Perkiomen Valley

Indoor and outdoor activities abound throughout this weekend.

The kids have been out of school for a couple weeks, and they’re probably already complaining that they don’t have anything to do. Patch to the rescue! We’ve got the cure for summer boredom right here, in the form of activities and events going on in your community.

Where/When: Appalachian Brewing Co., 50 W. Third Ave., Collegeville; June 30, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Why Go: A day-long party will be held to celebrate the newest ABC location, including raffles for ABC merchandise, appetizer specials, $3 drafts all day and live music at 9 p.m.

Where/When: A. C. Moore, 1824 E. Ridge Pike, Royersford; July 6, 3 to 5 p.m.

Why Go: A.C. Moore offers free Make & Take arts and crafts activities for children 2 to 12. Make a Nicolecrafts Foam Visor on July 6.

Where/When: The Stoogeum, 904 Sheble Lane, Ambler; July 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: The word’s only museum of Three Stooges memorabilia, doesn’t have regular operating hours but has an open house about once a month, to give you a chance to see the museum’s almost 100,000 pieces.

Pricing: Free admission, but donations are appreciated

Where/When: Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, 1 Skippack Pike, Schwenksville; July 6, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: Discover the East Branch Creek and its aquatic life, including unique adaptations of macro-invertebrates. Apply your arts and crafts talents and activate your senses.

Pricing: $30 members, $40 non-members

Where/When: , 300 Main St., Schwenksville; July 6, 7 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Bring your kids and your parents, your lawn chairs and blankets for this outdoor summer concert featuring Midnight Shift with their unique mix of rockabilly and blues and rock ‘n’ roll.
