Grab and Go is a weekly calendar of child-friendly and family activities, and new places to try out with children.

Why go: Library volunteers will present stories, crafts and games for the whole family.

Where/When: Perkiomen Valley Middle School East, 100 Kagey Road, Collegeville, Feb. 25-26

Why go: Students will present The Wizard of Oz, based on the book by L. Frank Baum. Showtimes are Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday at 6 p.m.

Where/When: Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell; Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.

Why go: As part of the college’s ongoing Lively Arts Series, MCCC will host the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, a special ensemble of the acclaimed Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.

Pricing: $10

 

Where/When: Montgomery County Cooperative Extension, 1015 Bridge Road, Collegeville; Mondays, beginning Feb. 28 through April 11, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Why go: The Toastmasters course will increase students’ confidence, and give them skills in public speaking, running meetings and elections, great skills for club officers. Open to teens ages 14 to 19.

Pricing: $25

 

Where/When: Perkiomen Valley Library, 290 Second St., Schwenksville; March 1, and every Tuesday, at 11 a.m.

Why go: Enjoy a storytime for the littlest ones! Registration is requested; sign up at the library, or call 610-287-8360.
