Just for kicks! Chudoba boots Vikings to 29-21 win
Chudoba's leg fuels Vikings come from behind victory over the Trojans
So far this season (3-1 overall, 2-0 league) has been outscored in the first half by a margin of 55-26. However, they have been able to flip that script in the second half and overtime, thus winning three of four games. The latest is Friday's 29-21 win over Pottstown.
Pottstown (1-1 league) utilized their speed early as Malik Brinkley and Monroe Hampton broke free, scoring on touchdown runs of 21 yards and 50 yards, respectively, before Sage Reinhart connected with Corey Baker on a 49-yard pass play, posting the visitors to a 21-0 lead.
Perk Valley finally got on the board when senior captain Ryan Boyd fielded the kickoff at the 23 yard-line, following the Trojans' third scoring drive. After shaking three would-be tacklers, Boyd broke down the sideline.

For the third consecutive week, the Vikings defense was lockdown in the second half, allowing the offense led by Rasaan Stewart and company to have the time and field position to get back into the game.
“Coach Young is such a great defensive coordinator,” said Ryan Boyd. “He will come into our training room during halftime and tell us what adjustments we are making. So far they have been the right move.”

The Vikings took advantage of three fumble recoveries to post a 25-yard field goal by Kyle Chudoba, along with a pair of 30 yarders booted by the soccer star.
A moment after Perkiomen Valley finally got its first lead of the game, following Chudoba’s third field goal. Then Steve Forrest pounced on a loose ball as the Trojans mishandled a snap deep in their own end, giving the Vikings great field position.
“We were definitely up for this game,” added Boyd. “We don’t take any one lightly and knew they would battle to the end. We needed to stay in our coverage and be certain we did not allow the big play to beat like early on in the games.”
The Vikings' victory was secured as Boyd forced the fourth takeaway of the game, intercepting Reinehart at the Pottstown 18-yard line and setting up two kneeldowns by Stewart.
Next for Perk Valley is a home game versus Boyertown, who fell to 1-1 in league play following a loss to Pottsgrove Friday night.
