Police Cracking Down on Underage Drinking
Police are targeting underage drinkers, businesses, and those who supply alcohol to minors.

According to an article in the Times Herald, state and local police are working to minimize underage drinking in local communities.
Members of the Pennsylvania State Police and local police departments are planning to meet with administrators and enforcement authorities on college campuses, as well as local businesses with liquor licenses to remind them of repercussions involved with supplying alcohol to minors.
Police are also making the repercussions clear to underage drinkers. Anyone caught drinking under the age of 21 will face a potential fine of $300 and up to 90 days in jail for a first offense, increasing with subsequent offenses.
Anyone convicted of underage drinking or related offenses - carrying a false ID, misrepresenting an age - will lose driving privileges for 90 days on the first offense, a full year on a second offense, and the penalty increases with each subsequent offense.
Police are also going after anyone supplying minors with alcohol - the first offense will result in a third-degree misdemeanor, which is punishable with a minimum fine of $1,000 and one year in prison.
