UPDATE: Collegeville Girl Struck in Downtown Skippack

A 16-year-old Collegeville girl was struck after stepping into the road, according to police.

Nov. 4 Update:

A 16-year-old Collegeville girl was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Skippack Pike and Route 113 on Nov. 2 at 4 p.m., according to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police

The report states that the girl, who was walking west on the sidewalk on Rt. 113 at Skippack Pike, stepped into the road for an unknown reason, directly infront of a Toyota Corolla driven by Joseph Carella of Telford.

The girl was then transported to Pennsylvania Hospital for further evaluation, according to the police.

There is no indication that this is an ongoing investigation.

A pedestrian was struck in downtown Skippack at 3:50 p.m. on Friday, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.

The victim suffered injuries, and a helicopter was requested on the scene.

The vehicle remained on the scene after the incident.

Traffic is impacted by this accident; seek an alternate route.
