PJPII Soccer Star Pete DeLeo

The senior cites his dad as a role model.

After their game against Phoenixville, the Pope John Paul II High School boys soccer team came out victorious with a 5-2 win. Senior Pete DeLeo scored two of PJPII's goals, and Patch caught up with him after the game.

Center back sweeper

How long have you been playing?
Since I was 4.

What made you get into the sport?
My dad, he was a big soccer player as a kid, and my whole family.

Are you going to play at the college level?
I’m thinking about it. My two favorites are Manhattan and Gen University.

Have you ever overcome any obstacles, such as injuries or illness? My sophomore year, I had bronchitis, and I missed four or five games.

Do you have any role models?
My dad. He played in college.
