The Panthers Fall to the Spring-Ford Rams
Despite their tireless efforts tonight, the Panthers were unable to grasp the win over the Spring-Ford Rams.
The Panthers played a great game tonight, and despite their loss, they kept playing. They truly never gave up, and kept their heads high every time they went onto the field.
“We didn’t give up,” said Coach Santillo. “We had a tough first half and the kids just never gave up and they kept playing.”
The Spring-Ford Rams played a tremendous defensive game, making it extremely difficult for the Panther’s to advance down the field, with the constant quarterback sacks, interferences and tackling the players for a loss of yard.

“David Cabell kept a lot of plays alive, and just had a good time with it,” said Santillo. “We tried to have fun, and that’s all you can do.”
At the end of the first half, the score was SF, 24, PJP, 0.

“When you’re down 24 to nothing, they never gave up and they battled,” Santillo said.
The S-F Rams went on to win the game 33 to 21, but the Panthers truly never gave up in their fight for a victory. Santillo worries, however, that there isn’t improvement where it needs to be.
“We’re just not running the football enough,” he said. “We got to become more effective on running the football; I’ve been saying it every week, but eventually it will kick in.”
Editor's note: The final score has been changed; it was 33-21.
