Green Lane Reservoir Body Identified

The body of 46-year-old Bernard Jaruga, of Easton, was found in the Green Lane Reservoir Sept. 2.

The Pennsylvania State Police identified the body found in the Green Lane Reservoir on Sept. 2 as 46-year-old Bernard Jaruga from Easton, Pa.

in response to a report of a vehicle that had been left overnight. After hours of searching the reservoir, a body was retrieved at 2:40 p.m. and Jaruga was declared dead by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.

Green Lane Park Rangers, Red Hill Fire Company and the Telford Volunteer Diving and Rescue Unit also participated in the search, State Police said.

According to Jaruga's Facebook page, he was a native of Poland and a fishing enthusiast.

Jaruga was a personal care professional at the Matheny Medical and Education Center in Peapack, N.J. for 22 years, according to Sandy Josephson, director of marketing and public relations for the company.

The cause of death has not been determined and the investigation is ongoing.  Initial reports from The Mercury indicated that State Police believe his death to be an accidental drowning.
