Perkiomen Valley shut down the Trojans after spotting them three touchdowns

Pottstown took the opening kickoff and marched the length of the field to take a 7-0 lead en route to building a 21-0 bulge with two minutes to play in the first quarter when quarterback Sage Reinhart completed a 49-yard touchdown strike to Corey Baker.

senior Ryan Boyd got the ship righted for the Vikings as he rambled up the sideline, breaking four tackles on the way to a 77 touchdown on the ensuing kickoff following the Trojans getting up by 21 points.

Perk Valley place kicker Kyle Chudoba connected on a 25-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to cut the Pottstown lead to 21-16 and added two more field goals to put Perkiomen Valley in position to take the lead.

“We were totally fired up for the game tonight, but some how we came out a little flat,” said senior captain Ryan Boyd.
“Our coaches got on the captains a at halftime, letting us know we had to step it up and what they expected. It’s a huge win for us in the PAC-10.”

Steve Giampa’s one-yard plunge into the end zone with less than four minutes remaining solidified the win for PV, which improved to 2-0 in the league and 3-1 overall.
