Vikings Water Polo Making Waves
Perk Valley beats powerhouses LaSalle and Hill School in the same day.
It has been a history-making week for water polo teams. For the first time, the Vikings girls squad shocked Hill School by handing the Rams a 10-5 loss, paced by Caroline Hodgins and a four-goal performance.
The magic continued on the boys side of the docket as they battled LaSalle College High School to the end. The team notched a thrilling 13-12 win as Mickey Wieber posted six goals and stole the ball, preventing the Explorers from having a chance to tie the game as time expired in regulation.
Coach Lyons was pleased with the effort, as it has been a very successful week in the pool as the Vikings have recorded back-to-back wins for both squads.
