3rd Suspect In Mass Shooting Of Teens At SEPTA Stop Arrested

U.S. Marshals have reportedly taken a third suspect in last week's shooting into custody on Academy Road in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — A third suspect in last week's mass shooting of teenagers going home from school has reportedly been arrested.

U.S. Marshals took Jermahd Carter, 19, into custody Tuesday afternoon on Academy Road in connection with the shooting that hurt eight teens at Cottman and Rising Sun Avenues Wednesday last week.

According to authorities, the Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Philadelphia Police unit surrounded a home on the 12000 block of Academy Road in Philadelphia.

Marshals believed Carter was hiding in a known family member's residence and was in the home.

A family member confirmed to authorities that Carter was inside, and Carter was taken into custody without incident.

He was taken to Philadelphia Police Headquarters for processing.

The arrests and subsequent charging of Tucker and Buggs was announced Monday.

All three are charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and related crimes.
