4th Suspect In SEPTA Bus Stop Shooting That Hurt 8 Captured

PHILADELPHIA — The fourth suspect sought in connection with the mass shooting that hurt eight teenagers at a SEPTA bust stop has been reportedly taken into custody.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Asir Boone, 17, was taken into custody in Alexandria, Virginia Tuesday.

Authorities said investigators at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday went to an apartment on the 700 block of Seaton Avenue in Alexandria, where they believed Boone was hiding.

They went into the apartment and found Boone, who complied with authorities and was taken into custody without incident.

He was taken to the Alexandria Police Department for processing.

Also arrested and charged so far are Ahnile Buggs, Jamaal Tucker, both 18, and Jermahd Carter, 19.

All are charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and more crimes related to the March 6 shooting at Cottman and Rising Sun avenues.

They are accused of firing numerous rounds at a group of Northeast High School students who were boarding a SEPTA bus at about 2:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at 7300 Rising Sun Ave.

One of the victims, a 16-year-old boy, was left in critical condition after being shot nine times throughout his body, police said.
