6 dogs, 17 Cats Rescued From Philadelphia Property: SPCA
The Pennsylvania SPCA said among the rescued animals were 4-week-old kittens and puppies under 6-months of age.
PHILADELPHIA — The Pennsylvania SPCA rescued more than 20 cats and dogs living in unsanitary conditions at a property in Philadelphia Tuesday.
According to the SPCA, Humane Law Enforcement Officers were called to the 2000 block of Pacific Street after receiving a tip to the cruelty hotline about numerous animals being kept on the property.
When officers arrived, they found 17 cats, including five 4-week-old kittens, and 6 dogs, including four puppies under 6-months of age, living in unsanitary conditions.

All the animals were signed over to the care of the Pennsylvania SPCA. They are now being cared for medically by SPCA staff and will soon be available for adoption.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending, according to SPCA officials.
