Amid Road Rage Shootings, Use These PennDOT Tips To Stay Safe
PennDOT has tips for motorists who encounter aggressive drivers to help them stay safe on the road.

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Several road rages shooting have occurred in the Philadelphia area recently.
According to PennDOT, the best way to avoid raging drivers is to follow these tips:
- Get out of their way and don't challenge them.
- Stay relaxed, avoid eye contact, and ignore rude gestures.
- Don't block the passing lane if you are driving slower than most of the traffic.
- Do not attempt to follow or pursue the vehicle. You or a passenger may call the police. But, if you use a cell phone, pull over to a safe location.
A road rage shooting took place at around 3:45 a.m. Thursday morning on the Bridge Street on-ramp heading onto I-95 south in Philadelphia, police said.

On Tuesday, a victim suffered a bullet graze near the Bartram Avenue on-ramp to I-95 north. And the next day, on I-76 near 30th Street, gunfire erupted and caused the victim's vehicle to crash, police said.
