Back to School: Philadelphia School District 2022-23 School Calendar

PHILADELPHIA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Philadelphia area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the School District of Philadelphia.

The first day of school is Monday, Aug. 29 for all students in Pre-K through 12th grade.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

• First Day: Tuesday, Sept. 6.
• Thanksgiving Break: Early dismissals Monday, Nov. 21 through Wednesday, Nov. 23; break from Thursday, Nov. 24 through Friday, Nov. 25.
• Winter Break: Monday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
• Spring Break: Monday, April 3, 2023, through Friday, April 7, 2023.
• Last Day: Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
